Hi! I’m Nigel, and I run Gardner Films. I work quietly, blending into the background and working smoothly alongside your photographer.
My own life is documented through film. Small moments, travels, and time spent with family and friends are captured so they are never forgotten. That perspective shapes how I approach every wedding we film.
I’m currently planning my own wedding in February 2027, so I genuinely understand how important this decision is and how quickly the day goes by.
Filming Across the Cotswolds and Beyond
I’m based in Stroud, in the Cotswolds, and film weddings across Gloucestershire, Bristol, Worcestershire, and throughout the UK. Victoria & Jack chose to get married at The Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, Gloucestershire in December 2025. This place was beautiful, so even the weather wasn’t the best, it was still so easy to capture some stunning footage of the day.

As your videographer at Gardner Films, I stay out of the way and let the day unfold naturally. You won’t need to change your plans for the camera.
I use professional but simple equipment so I can move quietly and film without drawing attention. Your wedding film will feel natural, emotional, and true to the atmosphere of your day.

Coming from a musical background, I have a real passion for capturing emotional, honest moments. I try to imagine the person watching your film in 20 or 30 years from now. What would make them feel something?
Emotion is everything in a wedding day and I’m keen to capture as much of it as I can! Essentially my job is to make grown men cry!
My aim is to deliver professional-quality films without the premium studio price. Your wedding video doesn’t need to cost a fortune, it simply needs to tell your story. So, if you feel any connection to my work then of course I’d love to hear from you!
As a wedding videographer, I describe my style as cinematic, story-led, and candid. Having cameras around all day can feel daunting, which is why I work discreetly.
Often you won’t realise I’m filming, so the moments I capture remain natural, emotional, and true to the day.
One of the most frequent compliments I receive is how many moments couples didn’t even realise were happening. Think of me as an additional set of eyes (several, if you count the cameras).
I also focus on the genuine reactions of your guests. By building rapport with your family and bridal party, everyone feels comfortable. That’s always when the best footage emerges.

My role as your wedding videographer doesn’t end when the day does. Once your wedding is captured, the real storytelling begins in the edit.
Natural audio is central to this process. I use moments from your ceremony, speeches, and other key parts of the day to shape the narrative of your film.
Music selection is considered carefully. The soundtrack is chosen to reflect your theme, venue, season, location, and any cultural elements woven into the day.
The finished film should feel like stepping back into the moment. Every edit is crafted around your story, with a timeless approach and no gimmicks - designed to age well with you.
